Ellsworth Hill Road Hillclimb

Tuesday Update:  A few riders did Ellsworth today, but it looks like some significant paving will begin tomorrow (Wednesday).  This may mean stretches of the road will be questionable or unrideable for the rest of the week.  If that's the case, we'll just plan on the time trial for next week.

Ah, Ellsworth.

FYI...you can participate in person on Tuesday at 5:30 or on your own throughout the week.  Here are the guidelines/rules/info.

The start of this climb is on the Plymouth end of the Physical Therapy office parking lot on Route 3. It's across from Chesley's Pizza/gas in Campton.  The finish is the Ellsworth town line--the sign is on the left ~3.9 miles up.

This is an individual hillclimb (no drafting), and if multiple riders are starting, they can go off in 30 second intervals.  Solo riders have from Tuesday through Sunday to complete the course and report a time.  Group riders will go off at 5:30pm on Tuesday.

Since Strava segments can be unreliable, please time yourself by other means.  Send times (and any questions) to mightypemi@gmail--we'll post here and place times accordingly.  Points are given in descending order (if there are 10 riders, 1st place gets 10 points, 2nd place gets 9 points, etc.).  Points go to your season tally.

Course: Starting at the bottom of Ellsworth Hill Rd in Campton, this climb wastes no time in starting its ~850 feet of gain over ~3.9 miles. After the initial climb, there's some reprieve mixed in with ups and downs, then a sprint to the town line finish.  Bring some way of timing yourself.

Course Records:  M: Kris Freeman, 14:56, 7/10/2018 W: Ryanne Carmichael, 19:22, 8/2/16  Tandem: John Jurczynski & Ann Benoit Jurczynski, 17:09, 8/2/16.
